Two Hudson area drivers and a child passenger were hurt and hospitalized following a 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, crash at County Road F and Red Brick Road.

According to St. Croix Sheriff Department Capt. Jeff Klatt, southbound driver Thomas Leverence, 38, in a 2007 Honda Civic, was waiting to turn left onto Red Brick Road when he was rear-ended by another southbound  driver, Andrea Langer, 43, in a 2013 Chevy Impala.

Langer apparently was distracted and didn’t see Leverence’s car. It’s unknown if she braked before the collision.

Both drivers were buckled in, as was 10-year-old Jadyn Leverence, a passenger.

All three were taken away by ambulance. Injuries were not described as life threatening.

Klatt said there was some road blockage. Both cars were badly damaged and needed towing.

Langer was given a county citation for inattentive driving.
