Christiansen Creative, 900 Fourth St., was among the award winners of the MarComm Awards. Winners were recently announced in the 2012 international awards competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. There were over 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the 2012 competition.

Christiansen Creative was recognized nine times for both gold and platinum awards for web design, brochure design, identity materials, marketing campaigns and more. Christiansen clients such as Marvin Window and Doors and Deluxe Corporation won the design studio kudos, but the big winner was their work for local client, Hudson Hospital and Clinics, with four honors.

"It's been a big year working with the hospital," said studio owner and Creative Director Tricia Christiansen. "We've rolled out a robust website for the organization, published another beautiful edition of their Thrive newsletter and brochures - but the star had to be the Heart Care Video. We give a lot of credit to winning for that video to the doctor, he was a real pro."

The Heart Care web video featuring Cardiologist Dr. Stephen Smalley won a Platinum award in its category, the highest honor possible. The video can be viewed at
