Banker Standafer to retire
Long time local banker Daryl Standafer has announced his retirement from Citizens State Bank recently.
"I value the relationships that have been built over the years," Standafer said. "But the time has come to let others take over."
He will continue to serve the bank in a reduced Public Relations role.
A resident of North Hudson since 1989, Standafer was President of Landmark Bank, later was at F & M Bank Landmark, prior to joining Citizens State Bank in 1999. A native of Worthington, Minn. , Standafer began his banking career at First Bank Worthington and was transferred to the Twin Cities area when he joined First Bank Edina. He was President of First State Bank of Eden Prairie until moving to Wisconsin.
He has been very active in the Hudson Community. Standafer has served in fund-raising activities for The Phipps Center for the Arts and St. Croix Valley YMCA. He is a past board member of several organizations including Community Action, SOS Players and Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center. He is a Charter Member of Hudson Daybreak Rotary and has been a member of Hudson Golf Club since 1989.
Standafer was recently elected to his eighth consecutive term as a St. Croix County supervisor and he serves as chair of the County Finance and Personnel Committee. He also is Treasurer of State Senator Sheila Harsdorf's Campaign Committee.
Standafer and his wife Jan are the parents of four married children, and have 10 grandchildren.
