TireProz is ready to serve Hudson area customers
The day the Andrews family has been waiting for arrived July 12 when their newly constructed eight-bay TireProz store opened on the 'hill' in Hudson.
"I have wanted to open a store in Hudson for years," said Jay Andrews Sr., who initially hoped to locate, after purchasing the building, on the old Perkins site. Today, Andrews is thrilled with his location at 1800 Crestview Drive which offers I-94 frontage, a close proximity to Fleet Farm and a traffic-controlled intersection.
Andrews, who has been in this type of business since 1976, took the leap in May of 2006 opening the first TireProz store in the Stillwater area.
"I wanted to own my own business," said Andrews. "The boys have been working for me since they were 14 and they decided they wanted to be included." Andrews' two sons Jay Jr., who manages the Hudson location, and Judd, who manages the Stillwater location, also share in the ownership. "They are excited about doing this." Andrews' daughters took a different path, one is a CPA and the other is an executive with Ecolab.

"We want to make car care easy," said Andrews. "You can stop in or call for an appointment."
If you look closely when cross the Hudson Bridge, and the wind is blowing from the south, you can see the 12- by 20-foot United States flag which flies atop the 70-foot pole now located at 1800 Crestview Drive. Andrews relocated the pole from the former Perkins building, which he has for sale. It is a reminder to Andrews and his family that even though the opening of their Hudson store was delayed and eventually moved to a new location, they have improved their visibility and are looking forward to serving the Hudson community with top-notch care.
