New trial date set for North Hudson man

A new trial date has been set in the case of a North Hudson man charged in connection with a fatal crash in Minnesota.

Judge Richard Ilka set a June 18 jury trial date for Drew T. Fleming during a brief hearing Monday, Dec. 1, in Washington County District Court.

Fleming, 21, is charged with reckless driving in connection with a Feb. 29, 2016, crash in West Lakeland (Minn.) Township, that left 22-year-old Hudson resident Megan Goeltz dead. Fleming, who prosecutors allege was distracted by his phone at the time of the crash, pleaded not guilty to the gross misdemeanor charge in October.

The case was originally set for an October jury trial, but that was called off during negotiations.

An April 30 pretrial hearing was set in the case.
