The Kiwanis Club of Greater Hudson recently presented two books to the Hudson High School STRIVE Program. The books, "Graffiti World" and "This I Believe" were presented in recognition of club members Maralee Anderson and John Maas who are mentoring students in STRIVE. This is the second year books have been given to the program by the Kiwanis Club. STRIVE is an alternative education "school within a school" program for at-promise students at Hudson High School. Its mission is to provide a safe, respectful and challenging environment where students can achieve both academic and social success leading to graduation and lifelong learning. The program pairs with numerous community partners, including the Hudson Kiwanis Club, to offer an array of unique community-building, mentorship, service learning, adventure learning, career development, and cultural activities, all designed to engage and develop the "whole" student. The donated books will be used to build the program's library.
