Upcoming adult classes
Constitution Alive will be held at River Crest Elementary starting Tuesday, March 20 from 6-8:30 p.m. The class will run for 11 weeks.
Therapy Dog Intro Class is scheduled for 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 13. Take this one-night class to get information on the Love a Leash Therapy Dog Program, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 and will run for six weeks. Both classes will be held at River Crest Elementary School. No dogs attend the intro class.
Five Steps to Boost Metabolism will be held 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 at the Hudson Middle School.
Let's Crochet will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursdays, March 22 and 29 at Thunderwillow Community Arts Facility in Hudson.
Essential Oils and Your Pets will be held 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, March 22 at River Crest Elementary. Learn the do's and don'ts of using essential oils for dogs, cats, horses and chickens.
Bring Your Own Piece of Furniture Workshop is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. Saturday, March 24. This workshop will be held at Salvaged with Style, downtown Hudson.
Monogram Centerpiece w/Mason Jars will be held 12:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at Hudson Middle School. Participants will create a wooden centerpiece/planter box.
Meatballs, Five Ways! will be held 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, March 26 at Hudson Middle School. Participants will sample all the recipes made in class.
For youth and families
Junior Robotics will meet after school from 4-5 p.m. at EP Rock Elementary starting Tuesday, March 20. The class will meet for four weeks. Students will learn 21st century robotics enrichment using LEGO ®Bricks through STEM engineering concepts.
Youth Basketball clinics provided by the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx Academy, will be held on Saturday, March 24 at the Hudson Middle School. Session A , for grades K - 3, will be held from 9-10 a.m. Session B, for grades 4-8, will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. All kids receive a free ticket voucher for a future Timberwolves game at the Target Center, plus a poster and more. Please bring your own ball.
Hello Cupcake Spring Edition will be held 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24 at Hudson Middle School. Kids, in grades 1-6, will decorate six cupcakes with a fun spring theme.
Easter Cookie Bouquet, for teens or adults, will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 at Hudson Middle School. Create a beautiful bouquet with eight fancy decorated cookies.
Open Pickleball is now being held at 2-5 p.m. Sundays, March 11, 18 and 25 at Hudson Middle School in Gym B. Beginners or those with experience are welcome. Some paddles and balls are available but you are encouraged to bring your own. The fee is $3 per person and can be paid at the gym.
Registration is available for all classes online using credit cards, debit cards, and electronic checks. Checks and cash will still be accepted in the mail or in person at the Community Education Office, 644 Brakke Drive. A Taste of Door County 2
Registration is now open for "A Taste of Door County 2" on Thursday, June 11.
The itinerary includes scenic attractions, history and museums, shopping and dining, markets and wineries. Destinations include Lambeau Field, Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Sister Bay, Rowleys Bay, Baileys Harbor and Sturgeon Bay. There will be plenty of time available for shopping, dining, recreation, and relaxing. Guests will stay at the Newport Resort in the village of Egg Harbor. While returning to Hudson, the group will take a guided Barn Quilt tour of Shawano County with writer/photographer Jim Leuenberg, have lunch in Wausau, and visit the Veterans Memorial in Cadott. A motor coach bus (with restroom) will provide the transportation, but is not handicapped accessible.
Tour departs Hudson on Thursday June 7 at 8 a.m. Tour departs Egg Harbor on Sunday, June 11 at 8:30 a.m. Fees will be based on number of guests per suite.
Registration deadline and down payment of $150 is due by Friday, April 6. Final payment is due on Friday, May 4.
