The master plan for the Carmichael Ridge residential development received approval from the Hudson City Council on April 11. The map shows the 145-home development on 110 acres of the former Hudson Golf Club, as well as a possible layout of a commercial development on the south side of the golf course, upper right. The block of Vine Street between First and Second streets was a hub of activity Monday morning as the reconstruction of eight blocks of Vine Street began. The work is going to be completed in segments, with first consisting of putting new storm sewer under the bathhouse parking lot and resurfacing Vine Street from First to Second streets. Vehicles make a left turn from southbound Carmichael Road onto eastbound Hanley Road on Monday. A report on an engineering study of the intersection says the traffic pattern is the major source of accidents at the intersection.
