She went on to become a purchaser and administrative assistant for JH Larson Electric where she worked until her retirement. Norma and Roy enjoyed retirement with family and friends close by.

Norma was a dedicated wife and mother. She maintained the reputation for keeping a very clean house and instilled that by example in her family. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and quilting with the women of the Bethel Lutheran Church. With the church, she was also a Sunday school teacher and an active participant in the Bethel Lutheran Scandinavian Food Festival.
