Betty Evans, 88

Elizabeth Helen "Betty" (Smith) Evans, well-known for running Alterations & Sewing by Betty passed away on Jan. 4.

Betty met Rolland Evans while serving in the Marine Corps. Betty married Rolland in February of 1953 in California. They had two sons and four daughters. They moved over 40 times before settling in the Hudson area in 1991.

Betty was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on November 11, 1961. She had a great love for teaching others about the Bible. She also was well known for her sewing.

Betty is survived by a large family. Her children David Evans, Susan Gobeli, Dawnn (Jon) Senasac, Jayne (Joesph) Roed, and Wayne Evans. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Rolland, daughter Linda Evans, and great-grandchild Christopher Uribe-Lopez.

The funeral service will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 485 Jacobs Lane, Hudson, on Wednesday, Jan. 11, with visitation from 6-7 p.m. and funeral at 7 p.m.
