Margaret G. Ramberg, 98
Margaret G. Ramberg, age 98, of River Falls, passed away Thursday, July 13, at Comforts of Home in Hudson.
She was born and raised in the Baldwin area. During World War II, she lived and worked in Chicago with her sister. On February 11, 1948, she married Clifford Ramberg. The couple farmed in Pleasant Valley until moving to River Falls in 1978. Margaret loved church and all the functions at the church. She enjoyed dancing and her family learned to dance to old time music. Her family was very important and she helped by babysitting all of her grandchildren, when it was needed. Margaret was very good at baking, especially desserts, talented at crocheting and canning.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; brothers, Ervin Hurtgen, Richard Hurtgen, Clinton Hurtgen; sister, Ellen Davey; brothers-in-law, Chester Davey, Ian Jahr, Gailen Dumond; sisters-in-law, Delores Hurtgen, Audrey Hurtgen, Sallie Dull; sons, Rodney Ramberg, Keith Ramberg; and son-in-law, Tom Sempf.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Eileen Sempf; grandchildren, Craig Ramberg, Jamie (Heather) Ramberg, Andrea (Jason Kosloski) Gregerson, Nicole (Ted Wictecka) Burchill, Clayton (Angela) Ramberg, Grant Ramberg, Rocky Ramberg, Sara (Alex) Lucas; 13 great-granchildren; sisters, Ina Mae (Russel) Strohbeen, Edna Dumond; sister-in-law, Judy Hurtgen; daughters-in-law, RoxAnn Finn, Michelle Clover and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at Rush River Lutheran Church (N8623 Coutny Rd Y) rural River Falls. Visitation will also be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, at the church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls.
