Allan H. Waldorf
Allan Herbert Waldorf, age 72, of Webster, WI, formerly of Hudson, passed away December 26, 2017 at Countryside Acres Assisted Living in Webster.
Allan was born October 27, 1945 in Millerville, MN to Joseph and Hildegard (Douvier) Waldorf. He grew up and attended school around Millerville. After graduating high school, Allan served in the US Army. He was united in marriage to Marion Fritsche on November 17, 1967 in Minneapolis, MN. The couple were blessed with two children, Chad and Nicole. The family made their home in Hudson. After many wonderful years together, Marion passed away in 1994. Allan worked as a machinist for Hyman Freightways in Roseville, MN, retiring in the late 1990s. Around that time, Allan met Carla Phillips and moved to Webster, WI. Carla became Allan's best friend and later his wife.
Allan was a kind, and generous man who adored spending time with his family. He enjoyed boating on Pike Lake, and could often be found fishing off the dock with his grandchildren. He was an incredibly handy man who had a knack for troubleshooting, fixing, and repairing things, especially things with mechanical problems. He was also fond of woodworking, having made many toy boxes for his grandchildren and the benches for the Siren Community Garden with his buddy, Jack. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Siren.
Allan will remain in the heart of his wife, Carla Phillips; son, Chad Waldorf (fiance Amy Bellomo); daughter, Nicole (Nathan) Day; step-children, Robert (Patty) Phillips, Lisa (Jay) Roettger, and Sheldon (Kelly) Phillips; grandchildren, Landon, Evan and Ella Day, Keagan VanEperen, Ava Bellomo, Alyssa Roettger, Sam and Katie Phillips; siblings, Gerald (Bonnie) Waldorf, Jane (Norby) Stang, Louann Haas, Donna (Jim) McIntire, Larry (Mary) Waldorf, Diane (Glen) Herdman, and Joe (Sue) Waldorf; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Marion; his parents; and brother, James Waldorf.
A Funeral Service for Allan will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Hudson. Memorials preferred.
