Muriel Virginia 'Mia' Rollheiser

Muriel Virginia "Mia" Rollheiser, age 92 of Chanhassen, MN, formerly of Hudson, WI, passed away August 23, 2018 at the Olive Branch Estates in Chanhassen.

Mia was born on August 12, 1926 in St. Paul, MN, to parents Arthur and Angelyn (Meyer) Sedin. She and her sister, Beverly, were the first generation of their family born in the United States, their mother was from Holland. Mia was raised in St. Paul and graduated from Johnson High School. She was united in marriage to John Rollheiser on February 14, 1947 in St. Paul, MN, and the couple was blessed with four children. She enjoyed raising her children and continued her education at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls where she studied photography and earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree. For several years, Mia and John operated Cracker Barrel Antiques out of their detached garage on 3rd Street, just north of the Octagon House in Hudson. In 1986, John passed away of a heart attack. Mia volunteered at the Phipps Center for the Arts, Hudson Area Public Library, and at the Welcome Wagon in Hudson. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting, and was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

Mia will remain in the hearts of her children, Regan (Rokke) Warren, Tom Rollheiser, and Jane (Wayne) VanBeek; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Todd; her parents; and sister, Beverly (David) Nachtsheim.

A funeral service for Mia will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral homes. Interment at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson.
