North Hudson Neighbors are watching out for each other
Submitted by North Hudson Police Department
On Jan. 10, 2018, 21 community members from North Hudson came together with the North Hudson Police Department to bring life back to the Village's Neighborhood Watch Program.
The group was originally founded in 2004 and while it has remained strong, there had not been any regular meetings since 2010. The new team (pictured above) is a combination of the old guard and several newcomers who want to make their community an even better place to live. The Watch will be focused on bringing the community together through events such as block parties and National Night Out, educational offerings such as CPR training and burglary prevention, and through working with area businesses toward developing welcome kits for new residents to help acquaint them with their new surroundings.
The group includes (pictured) Laurie Erwin, Lisa Dornfeld, Diana Bechel, Greg Holland, Corrie Ellefson, Jill Germain, Stan Wekkin, Gary Hanson, Tom Coulter, Lori Larson, Traci Schroeder, Deb Fox, Lee Bahlmann, Diane Zais, Tim Zais, Ted Wood, Niki Wood, Jody Bakken, Kristi Haskins, James Ramesbothom, Crue Larson and North Hudson Officer Bobby Moody.
Anyone interested in being part of the North Hudson Neighborhood Watch program should attend our next meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, at the North Hudson Village Hall, or e-mail the group at NHNW@pd.northhudsonvillage.org for details. Together, we will make a difference!
