Dance team wins national title
The Hudson Raidaires Dance Team won the Grand National Championship title at the UPA Americup National Competition on Feb. 22. The team competed with their jazz routine in the finals and Coach Amanda Fletcher said the team "beat many other prestigious squads for the title."
The Raidaires placed sixth with their pom routine and third with their kick routine. The team also placed third with their jazz routine at the State Competition in early February.
The Raidaires have completed their competitive season and will have a recital (open to the public) on Sunday, March 15 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Raidaire individual honors
Hudson Raidaires Dance Team individual members also succeeded in individual competitions at the UPA Americup National Competition on Feb. 22 as well.
Katie Kenall placed fifth and Monica Deloy second in the Jump Challenge; Bry Inman placed third in the Kick Challenge; Kat Cameron placed ninth in the All American division; Gretchen Hoehn placed 10th in the solo competition and Monica DeLoy took ninth; A trio of Hali Bebault, Edie Bjerstedt and Katie Kenall placed 10th in the ensemble division; Candace Phillips and Casie O'Connor took fifth, and Monica DeLoy, Gretchen Hoehn and Bry Inman took second.
Several Hudson individuals also made the All State Dance Team. They were Edie Bjerstedt, Monica DeLoy, Colleene Duley (not pictured), Gretchen Hoehn and Bry Inman.
