Three Raiders named all-state hockey
Hudson forwards Cody Johnson and Taylar Zarfos and defenseman Josh Perron have all received honorable mention to the 2009 Wisconsin Hockey Coaches Association All-State Team.
It's the second year in a row Johnson and Perron have received all-state honors while Zarfos was named to the team for the first time. All three players are seniors who helped the Raiders to a 15-7-1 record this season and a berth in the sectional final game.
Johnson scored 21 goals and added 21 assists to finish with a team-high 42 points. Zarfos led the Raiders in goals scored with 22 and dished out 15 assists to finish with 37 points, second best on the team. He also scored a team-high six power play goals.
Perron scored seven goals and dished out 13 assists from his position on the blue line and helped anchor a defense that allowed opponents and average of 2.3 goals per game.
Cody Strang of Madison Edgewood was named the WHCA Player of the Year while Ryan Sarazin of Fond du Lac was named Coach of the Year.
