Lacrosse players garner all-conference honors

The Hudson Area Lacrosse Association's varsity club team posted a record of 1-3-1 at the prestigious Star of the North Games in St. Cloud, Minn. June 18-19. Following a successful inaugural season in the Minnesota Boys Scholastic Lacrosse Association (MBSLA), several members of the Hudson Area Lacrosse Association's varsity level club team have been honored with postseason awards.

Attacker Luke Ousidigian, midfielder Anthony Queener and defender Alec Vanasse were all named to the MBSLA East All-Conference First Team, while Spencer Knapp, Taren Motte, Brandon Schwartz and McKay Potter received Honorable Mention.

In addition, freshman goalie Jordan Madden finished the season ranked fourth in wins (7) for the entire MBSLA league.

The Hudson Lacrosse team finished its inaugural season with a record of 8-6-0 overall, and in second place in the MBSLA East Conference. The team played two playoff games, losing only to St. Louis Park, who went on to play in the MBSLA state championship game. 

Other team members included Matt Weseli, Connor Kindom, Levi Willert, James Fall, Antonio Bloomquist, Dylan Haskins, Riley Collins, Aaron Swinney, Vale Zins, Cameron Anunson, Connor McGill, Connor O'Keefe, and Sam Roseijka. The team was coached by Rich Grinstead and Matt Fosse.
