Gymnasts 4th at RF Invite

Amanda Baker took third in the all-around and Olivia Dunlap just missed medaling with a seventh place finish as the Raider gymnasts finished fourth in the eight-team Gold Division at the River Falls Gymnastics Invitational Saturday in River Falls.

Earlier in the week the Raiders posted a season-high score of 132.55 in a Big Rivers Conference win over Rice Lake/Cumberland Tuesday as Olivia Dunlap, Amanda Baker and McKenna Daulton swept the top three spots in the all-around.

Dunlap totaled 34.7 to win the all-around competition, buoyed by a first place score of 9.0 on the balance beam. Daulton and Baker tied for first in the floor exercise, each with 9.075, while Baker finished first on the vault with a score of 9.0.

The Raider junior varsity also reached a season-high with a team score of 98.8 behind first place efforts by Kristin Strom in the vault and Brooke Miller on the uneven bars.

Saturday at the River Falls Invitational, Baker took fourth on the balance beam with a score of 9.1 and fourth in the floor exercise with an 8.9, while Daulton finished fourth in the vault with an 8.625.

Baker totaled 34.45 in the all-around to earn third place while Dunlap compiled a score of 33.5. Daulton also competed in the all-around, finishing 13th with a total of 32.775.

Maddy Rohde posted a season-high score of 7.75 on the uneven bars to boost the Raiders' point total.

Hudson finished with a team score of 131.875 to place fourth ahead of Rice Lake/Cumberland's 129.925. River Falls won the Gold Division title with a total of 140.3 followed by Centennial (Minn.) with 133.925 and Ashland with 133.775.

Hudson traveled to Menomonie for a BRC dual this past Tuesday, Jan. 17. The team returns home to host River Falls on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at Willow River Elementary School and will host the Hudson Invitational Saturday, Jan. 28.
