Hudson starting pitcher Brian Sparstad rears back to deliver a pitch to the plate in the River Rats St. Croix Valley Baseball League  game against the Ellsworth Hubbers last Sunday afternoon at Grandview Park. Sparstad allowed just one run through the first five innings before Ellsworth tied the game 4-4 in the sixth and went on to an 11-7 victory.

Hudson’s Braxton Belt takes a lead off third base as teammate Sam Chase fouls off a pitch in the fourth inning of Hudson’s American Legion Post 50 baseball team’s game against River Falls Post 121 last Thursday at Grandview Park. This year’s varsity players included Maggie Koehler, Emily Ryder, Megan Monette, Jordan Helterbrand, Makenzie Drace, Kyla Schewe, Karyn Chukel, Emma Richert, Emma Olson, Sarah Hallen, Kate Sanocki, Mady Haines and Catie Woodley.
