Hudson's Motu loses in consolation rounds at state
MADISON - Hudson's Eliot Motu fell short in his attempt to place at the WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament Friday.
Motu, 39-9 overall, won his first match in the consolation round this morning at 220 pounds. He defeated Koltin Kislia (36-7) of Watertown in overtime, breaking a 1-1 tie with a takedown.
In second match in the consolation round, Motu was eliminated from the tournament by Elkhorn's Dylan Linhart (39-9). Linhart won 1-0, riding out Motu for the entire third period after getting an escape in the second.
