High school football: Raiders run over Rice Lake

Fullback Dan Loughney accounted for 157 of Hudson's 358 yards on the ground and Loughney, Michael Hommes and Joseph Kelly all ran for touchdowns as the Raiders improved to 2-0 with a 24-14 victory at Rice Lake Friday night, Aug. 31.

Loughney, who missed the Raiders' season-opening win over Kenosha Bradford a week earlier with a foot injury, opened the scoring with a 2-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

Hommes scored on a 17-yard run later in the first to give Hudson a 14-7 lead.

Sam Somerville booted a 31-yard field goal in the third quarter to extend Hudson's lead to 17-7. Rice Lake pulled to within a field goal later in the third quarter before Kelly sealed the win with a 14-yard fourth quarter TD run.
