High school football: Hudson 49, Eau Claire North 14

Michael Hommes accounted for two of Hudson's four first-quarter touchdowns and the Raiders rolled to a 49-14 victory Friday night at Newton Field to remain undefeated and tied for first place in the Big Rivers Conference.

Hommes had an 11-yard touchdown run on the Raiders' first play from scrimmage and tossed a 40-yard touchdown pass to Chuck Peterson on Hudson's next possession for an early 14-0 lead.

Wade Malecha ran over from a yard out and Peterson caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Ian Zastrow to put the Raiders ahead 28-0 at the end of one.

Alex Paulson had a 27-yard TD run in the second quarter as the Raiders opened up a 35-7 halftime lead.

Joe Kelly returned the second half kickoff 83-yards for a touchdown and Malecha scored his second touchdown of the game from 4 yards out to extend Hudson's lead to 49-7 at the end of three.

The Raiders improved to 4-0 overall, 3-0 in the BRC, tied for first place with Menomonie, 26-15 winners over previously unbeaten River Falls Friday night.
