The battle for the regular season Big Rivers Conference boys' tennis crown will have to wait a few more days after the match between undefeated co-leaders Hudson and Eau Claire Memorial was suspended due to rain Tuesday, May 8, in Hudson.

The match will resume where it left off on Thursday, May 10, at 3:30 p.m. at the Hudson High School courts.

“Coach Litscher from Memorial and I have the scores recorded and after warm-ups we will restart and resume the matches from the points where they ended,” Raider coach John Knutson said.

Hudson was originally scheduled to host South St. Paul in a nonconference match Thursday. Knutson said he hopes to make up that match next week.

It's the final regular season conference match for both Hudson and Eau Claire Memorial, who are tied atop the BRC standings at 4-0 each. The winner will claim the regular season title and have the upper hand heading into the BRC Tournament Saturday, May 12, at Eau Claire North. Eau Claire Memorial has won the last 21 BRC championships.
