Letter: Warm/climate change, my eye
Dear Editor, Climate change, my eye -- notice I didn't say global warming. No one says that anymore, it's passe. And we don't want to limit ourselves either. Warming, cooling, growing, shrinking - it's all bad, and humans are to blame! Rubbish. K. Spieler's letter on "global warmth"...

Powerball winning will be tougher next year
It will be tougher to win the Wisconsin Lottery's Powerball jackpot in the New Year. But it will be easier to win at least something. Four white regular numbers will be added starting Jan. 4, for a total of 59. And three red Powerball numbers will be removed, for a total of 39. That...

Letter: Critical of John McCain
Dear Editor, John McCain wants us to believe he'll bring real change to Washington. I actually might've believed him a month ago, when I still saw him as a fair-minded man not intimidated by the demands of the party he's represented for over 20 years.

Letter: Abortion isn't good change
Change -- the word that, of late, resounds in the air long after the word is spoken. Change, change to what? Should we intensify our efforts to make this one nation for all, except for the pre-born and those we would euthanize? Our health care system, does it need change, and, whom...
