The Hudson Fire Department battled the blaze at a house at 1108 Third St. The fire broke out just before midnight on Thursday, Feb. 19. Turns out, the house may be among Hudson’s oldest. (Hudson Star-Observer photos by Randy Hanson)

The group includes, from left, Mary, John, holding his son John Ingram, and Margaret. The children all were born in the Octagon House and were the fourth (and final) generation of the Moffat/Hughes family to grow up in the house.
