David Anderson and Claire Terrones greet guests at a practice opening of Jimmie's Old Southern BBQ Smokehouse last Friday evening, May 20. The restaurant at 2421 Hanley Road opened to the public on Tuesday, May 24. Anderson is well-known for the Famous Dave's barbecue restaurant chain that he founded in 1994. Hudson's George Halunen (3) and Max Ball (2) pass River Falls' Will Bohnert as they approach the finish line of the boys' 1600 meter run at the 2016 Big Rivers Conference Track and Field Championships last Tuesday in River Falls. Halunen won the race with a time of 4 minutes, 36.37 seconds and Ball was second in 4:36.42 to help the Raider boys win their second BRC championship in the last three years.
