The Raiders will scrimmage in Osceola this Friday, Aug. 12, before opening the season with a neutral site game in Middleton Thursday, Aug. 18, against Greenfield. Former Raider Dan Loughney is flanked by his parents Colleen and John at a benefit for the former bowler and football player at the Hudson Bowling Center Saturday afternoon. The Hudson Soccer Association's U9 girls team went undefeated in the 2016 CC United 6-vs-6 Cup in Chaska June 24-26. Hudson's George Halunen (3) and Max Ball (2) pass River Falls' Will Bohnert as they approach the finish line of the boys' 1600 meter run at the 2016 Big Rivers Conference Track and Field Championships last Tuesday in River Falls. Halunen won the race with a time of 4 minutes, 36.37 seconds and Ball was second in 4:36.42 to help the Raider boys win their second BRC championship in the last three years. Raider senior Becca Breyer beats River Falls Sofia Naranjo Mata to the first hurdle in the prelims of the girls' 100 meter hurdle event at the Big Rivers Conference Track and Field Championships Tuesday, May 17, in River Falls. Hudson pitcher Katie Cardell tossed a complete-game two-hitter to lead the Raider girls softball team to a 7-1 victory in the second game of a doubleheader at Chippewa Falls Thursday, snapping the Cardinals' 83-game BRC winning streak.
