A 15-month-old boy playing with his older sister fell 19 feet from an upstairs window about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in the town of Troy. The mother, Stacy Norman, 211 Madison Circle, who was home at the time, called 911. The child was later airlifted from Hudson Hospital to the emergency section of Regions Hospital in St. Paul and is listed as serious. When a St. Croix County Sheriff's deputy arrived at the Norman house, an ambulance crew was on the scene. The little boy was being held by his mother and crying. Dirt covered his shirt and legs.
A Minneapolis-based private transit service will begin running between River Falls, Hudson and downtown St. Paul on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Commuters must subscribe for service to reserve a seat on one of the 47-passenger deluxe coach buses. Steve Miller and his dad, John Miller, started Great Rivers Transit with 40 years of busing experience under their belts. They formerly ran the Contemporary Bus Company. The Millers project service will increase as demand warrants it. Buses will pick people up at three park-n-ride locations: The intersection of Hwys.
