Washington County prosecutors allege a Hudson man helped himself to more than $1,000 worth of golf equipment at a Woodbury store. The suspect, 66-year-old Donald Voorhees, "stated that security at Golf Galaxy was pretty lax and that he could not resist the opportunity," according to a criminal complaint filed earlier this year. Voorhees was charged March 19 with one count of felony theft. According to the complaint, a Golf Galaxy manager reported in February that three boxes of Titleist Pro-V1 golf balls were missing.
A Hudson teenager faces a felony drug charge and one count of theft after allegedly trying to put one over on staff at a Woodbury retailer. Calvin Norman Olson, 18, was charged in Washington County District Court with one count of fifth-degree drug possession and one count of misdemeanor theft by swindle. Olson was released from Washington County jail after posting a $3,000 bond on March 28.
