Jeffrey Konrad Knoll, 40, of Burkhardt, formerly of Lakeland, died Tuesday, May 27, at his residence with his brother Greg. He was born the son of Willy and Nancy (Hauer) Knoll on July 8, 1967. He is survived by his son, Nicholas Knoll; sisters, Gretchen Gunderson of Hudson and Amy (Frank) Belmares of River Falls; nephews, Blake Knoll and Dylan Hentges; niece, Lindsay Klatt; and aunt, Cathy (Mike) Morris. A memorial gathering for Jeff and Greg will be at 7 p.m.
Gregory Allen Knoll, 43, of Burkhardt, died Tuesday, May 27, at his residence, with his brother Jeff. He was born the son of Willy and Nancy (Hauer) Knoll on Dec. 17, 1964. He is survived by his sons, Blake Knoll and Dylan Hentges; sisters, Gretchen Gunderson of Hudson and Amy (Frank) Belmares of River Falls; nephew, Nicholas Knoll; niece, Lindsay Klatt; and aunt, Cathy (Mike) Morris. Arthur E. Holt, 89, of Hudson, and formerly of Bemidji, Minn., Bloomington, Minn., and Grand Forks, N.D., died on his 89th birthday, June 3. A family celebration of his life will be held in Bemidji. Ralph E. Cowles, 84, of Grand Prairie, Texas, formerly of Roberts, passed away on Friday, May 23. He retired from the Roberts post office in 1991. Ralph is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lorraine; son, Myren (Karen); daughter-in-law, Mary; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald and Jack; and sister, Marjorie. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edith; daughter, Nancy; son, Darryl; and brothers, Jerry and Wesley. William Hart Jr., 59, of Hudson died at his residence Thursday, May 22. He was born Jan. 6, 1949, in Minneapolis to William E. and Dorothy (Roble) Hart Sr. He was a master carpenter who enjoyed classic cars, baseball, golf and fishing. Bill enlisted into the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1971. He loved people and had a kind spirit. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Sharon Boynton.
Dale Q. Haugen, Roberts, a retired Teamster Local #120, Oct. 5, 1939, to May 18, 2008. "Gone fishing." After a valiant struggle, Dale Q. Haugen lost his courageous battle with cancer. Dale was a beloved husband, father and grandpapa.
Peter Lee Iverson, 55, formerly of Hudson, died Monday, May 19, at his home in San Antonio, Texas. Peter was born on Sept. 13, 1952, in Chicago, Ill., to Dr. Donald and Peggy (Rock) Iverson. Peter graduated from Hudson High School in 1970. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1974 with a bachelor of arts in history and American institutions. He continued his education at Wisconsin, completing a master's in business administration in finance, investments and banking in 1975.
Greg W. Huppert, 60, of Hudson passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Sunday, May 25, at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in River Falls. Visitation was one hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Cashman-Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, River Falls, assisted the family with arrangements.
Patricia H. "Pat" Bakken, 75, of Hudson passed away on Thursday, May 22, at United Hospital in St. Paul. She was born the daughter of George and Florence Powers on Dec. 6, 1932, in Menomonie. Pat attended St. Patrick's grade school, graduated from Hudson High School in 1950 and attended St. Catherine's College. On Dec. 22, 1951, she was united in marriage to Arthur "Art" Bakken in Hudson; they would be blessed with seven children. She loved to garden, was a Master Gardener and for 10 years she worked at the greenhouse at Mueller's True Value in Hudson.
Matthew Scott Anderson of Stillwater, precious son of Scott and Krista Anderson, was born on Thursday, May 15, and died Saturday, May 17, at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis in the loving arms of his parents.
