Toy footballs fell from the sky and the Hudson Police Explorers reaped the benefit of the fundraiser at the recent Hudson Hot Air Affair event. Youth involved in the Police Explorers have been helping with the annual winter festival and hot air balloon rally for the past 10 years providing traffic and security assistance at the Torchlight Parade on Friday night and at the E.P. Rock School launch field on Saturday and Sunday.

The group received the proceeds from the fundraiser that was coordinated by Helmer Companies and the Hudson Hot Air Affair.

The youth applied the funds to their annual Police Explorers competition held recently in Wisconsin Dells. Hot Air Affair launch field coordinator Ruth Peterson said the group received $750 from the football drop donations.
