New development breaks ground on Maxwell Drive
Gerrard Corporation has officially broken ground on a new mixed-use development called "The Maxwell," located at 2000 Maxwell Drive.
Project highlights include 36 senior housing units and more than 3,000 square feet of commercial space. The Maxwell is phase one of a multi-phase 17-acre housing community.
The building offers easy access to a walking and biking trail and is located off Carmichael Drive within walking distance of several shops and services.
One- and two-bedroom apartments will be available when the facility opens in October. Each unit will have its own stove, refrigerator, microwave, washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Rent includes in-floor heat, water, sewer, and trash. It also includes parking for each apartment unit, either underground or in a detached garage.
Tenants will have 24/7 access to a fitness room, library, two rooftop garden terraces, and a fully-furnished community room that includes its own stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher.
The Maxwell will also offer limited support services to its 55+ community.
The 3,000-square foot ground-level commercial space is designed for professional offices or business. Parking is available, and commercial spaces will be built-to-suit.
