A weekend of Christmas spirit kicked off in Hudson with the Candlelight Stroll on Friday, Nov. 30.

The Holly Dolls of Helmer Dance Studio posed in shop windows in downtown Hudson in festive gear. The River City Chorale also provided Christmas music for attendants.

The holiday celebration continued on Saturday, Dec. 1 with Santa and his Critters at River City Center.

Santa was present for photos, along with some of his animal friends including goats, sheep, a donkey, a camel, a hawk and sled dogs. Games and activities were also held for children waiting to see the big man himself.
