Faith Community collecting scrap metal for FaithWorks
Faith Community Church's FaithWorks ministry includes an intensive week dedicated to completing short-term projects across the area. Typical projects consist of home improvements, general home maintenance and yard work with more than 300 volunteers completing about 50 projects during the week. Past community projects include painting and landscaping in area parks.
This is the ninth year for FaithWorks, and it is scheduled for June 17-21. In support of FaithWorks, scrap metal will be collected and sold.
"If you'd like to get rid of some metal and help your neighbors, please consider donating your unwanted objects containing metal to FaithWorks," Pastor for Missional Life Larry Szyman said.
Drop off items for donation from Saturday, June 15, through Saturday, June 22, at the designated collection point at the pole shed at 771 Carmichael Road (house next door to Faith Community Church building). Look for the sign pointing to the dumpsters. All types of metal and aluminum may be donated. Please note: We are not able to accept refrigerators, microwaves, air conditioner units, electronics, or automobiles. Thank you!
