Hudson Community Education offerings

Check out the upcoming Hudson Community Education classes. Registration is open at; click on the Community tab or click on the FeePay shopping cart in the top left corner to access class registration and payment information. Select "Explore All Programs" to begin your search.


Destination St. Paul is a day trip featuring famous sites in St. Paul. Participants will enjoy a tour of the State Capitol, the Alexander Ramsey House, the Ordway Japanese Gardens, the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory and other exhibits at the Como Park Zoo. Lunch will be provided at the Bonfire Wood Cooking on Grand Avenue, and is included in tour fee. Transportation will be provided by a motorcoach bus, departing Hudson at 8:15 a.m. Registration deadline is this week: call 715-377-3722.

Sugar is a Sneaky Thing will be held 7-8 p.m. Thursday, May 10 at Willow River Elementary. Learn how to reduce your sugar intake and improve your health!

MSBR (Mind Based Stress Reduction) Meditation is scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10 at the Hudson District Office. Students will learn proven strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and panic using MSRB. You can be happier, and find peace!

Beginning Jewelry Design will be held at Thunderwillow Community Arts Facility 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 12. Spend a fun afternoon being creative!

Mother's Day DIY Workshops are scheduled on Saturday, May 12 at Salvaged with Style, downtown Hudson. Take one or both workshops with Mom for a fun day to celebrate Mother's Day! From 10 a.m. to noon create a Bohemian flag. Each flag is created in your own style using vintage fabric. In the afternoon, from 1-3 p.m, create a vintage dream catcher, with a vintage doily, fabric, feathers and beads. All supplies are provided. There is a discount if you sign up for both! There is also time to enjoy lunch downtown Hudson between classes.

Make something fun for your garden, with Mosaic Garden Art. Class will meet 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, May 14 at River Crest Elementary. Participants will adorn a weather proof panel or terra cotta pot with beautiful, random cut stained glass, gems and mirrors. Design ideas will be available or create your own custom panel with your favorite word or to match your home décor!

Acupressure to Assist Weight Loss will meet 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at River Crest Elementary. Participants will learn the main pressure points that help strengthen thyroid function, boost metabolism, control appetite, decrease food cravings, reduce stress eating and strengthen the entire digestive system

Youth and families

Introduction to Archery will be held on May 9 at A-1 Archery in Hudson from 5-6 p.m. Kids age 8 and up are able to register as well as adults. Archery is a great skill to learn!

Kempo -Goju Karate is held on Mondays and Thursdays at the Hudson Middle School from 6-8 p.m. Students aged 9-99 are welcome. Be safe, be fit and learn to protect yourself and your family! Each months starts a new session. Discounts are available for multiple family members who attend.

Make Your Own Fairy Gardens, for youth, ages 5-12 with or without an adult. Class will be held at My Sisters Garden 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 9. Spend the morning creating adorable, imaginative fairy houses and gardens. We will make fairy furniture out of spools, bottle caps, recycled items and items found in nature. Fun for kids and adults too!

Star-Wars Inventors Cove, for youth, ages 6-10, will be held at Willow River Elementary School from Monday, June 18-Thursday, June 21 from 9 a.m. to noon Kids will work in small teams, spending an unforgettable week solving STEM challenges and use your engineering skills by building Star Wars inspired cool contraptions!

Trolls Art Class will be held on Friday, June 22 from 1:30-4 p.m. at Willow River Elementary. Young artists will be as happy as Princess Poppy in this class as they create a clay masterpiece inspired by the DreamWorks' movie Trolls.

Tennis lessons for youth will be held during the week of June 25. Many levels are available for a variety of ages and skill levels. Please check online for specific times and dates. Tennis Camps are also scheduled to start in July.

Registration is available for all classes using our online system using credit cards, debit cards, and electronic checks. Checks and cash will still be accepted in the mail or in person at the Community Education Office, 644 Brakke Drive. We encourage you to register early!
