Hammond 

Hammond Community Library is open noon to Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

New Years Day, closed.

Literature and learning, Jan. 5, 11 a.m. to noon; Jan. 6, 10-11 a.m.; this year the Hammond Community Library is exploring our world around us through stories, music and movement, arts and crafts, and mixing in a little science and math. The program is geared for ages 4-10 or grade levels Kindergarten to fifth. When you sign up you are signing up to attend one day, the same day each week, at a particular time and your children will be with that same group of children each week.

Programs will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays in person. Wednesdays will be virtual. Programs began the week of Sept. 27.

Attendees may be asked to wear masks while inside the library depending on health safety conditions and library board policy.

Virtual yoga, Jan. 5, 7-8 p.m. via Facebook live or Zoom.

New Richmond

The Friday Memorial Library in New Richmond’s public open hours are now Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday’s, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit newrichmondlibrary.org/ for more information.

New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, closed. 

BabyTime, Jan. 3, 10 a.m., join Jess for songs, rhymes, stories and fun in the youth services area for this story time geared specifically toward our youngest learners. Best for babies and toddlers 6-24 months and their caregivers.

Discovery days, Jan. 3, 1-8 p.m, families are invited to stop by the youth services area of the library every other Monday to discover and explore with our new discovery kits and a variety of fun, educational activities.

Library board meeting, Jan. 3, 6 p.m., board meetings are typically held the first monday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center.

Job Center of Wisconsin, Jan. 5, 10 a.m. to noon, Dana Sharon from the Job Center of Wisconsin will be at the library to provide employment services including assistance with enhancing your job search, applying for unemployment, resume writing and more. 

Old school game night, Jan. 5, 4-8 p.m., all ages are welcome to stop in the youth services area for a night of play. Choose from our cart of board games, cards and dice for a few minutes or a few hours of fun. Group and solitaire options available. Once a month, we will feature a new game to learn. Old school game nights are hosted Wednesdays from 4 to 8 p.m.

Little learner storytime, Jan. 6, 10 a.m.,  Julie hosts an indoor storytime at the library. Join along as she shares stories and songs and then invites you to play a fine-motor learning activity. Best for ages 2 through 5. Stories and songs are the same each week for both Little Learners and Active Little Learners storytimes. Pick the day of the week that works best for you.

New Year, new you, Jan. 6, 6 p.m.,  Next Level Nutrition will be here to share a Healthy Happy Hour and share about Herbalife products. 

Hudson

Curbside pick-up is available Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. by appointment only. Call 715-386-3101 or visit hudsonpubliclibrary.org for more info.

Library building reopens, Jan. 4, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., the library building is partially reopening. Meeting rooms, computer labs, the adult and teen areas, Friends Bookstore – all will be open. Patrons will have access to everything except the Children’s Area where glass damage was the worst. 

Starting out, hours will be Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Toddler time, Jan. 4, 10:15 - 10:45 a.m., storytime for toddlers every Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. with Ms. Sara. No registration required

Babies and books storytime, Jan. 5, 10:15 - 10:45 a.m., special storytime for babies every Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. with Ms. Sara. No registration required.

Stories for all, Jan. 5, 11:15-11:45 a.m., storytime for ages 0-5 with Miss Sara every Wednesday at 11:15 am. 

River Falls

Grades 4 and 5 book group, Jan. 4, 4 p.m., the first Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the lower level community room. Stop by the library to sign up and pickup the book. 

New Year's Digital Wellness, Jan.  6, 1 p.m., this hands-on workshop will help in finding balance with your devices.Bring your device to this in person event in the lower level community room. 

Roberts

Knitting group, Jan. 6,2:15-5:30 p.m., bring your own projects and supplies. All skill levels are welcome. No registration necessary.
