Booters top North
After playing eight games in 11 days, including back-to-back weekend road trips, the Raider boys soccer team played just one game last week and made it a good one with a 3-1 Big Rivers Conference victory at Eau Claire North Tuesday, Sept. 19.
Kolton Prater put the Raiders on the board eight minutes into the match, with an assist from Thomas Laraia, for the only goal of the first half before the Huskies tied it three minutes into intermission.
Prater struck again with an unassisted goal in the 56th minute and Maxx Rohde found the back of the net one minute later to make the final 3-1.
Hudson goalkeeper Lucas Everson finished with four saves as the Raiders outshot the Huskies, 10-5.
After a full week off the Raiders, now 4-8 overall, 4-2 in the BRC, visit Menomonie Tuesday, Sept. 26 and will host Rice Lake Thursday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. before New Richmond comes to town for a nonconference match Saturday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m.
