Eric Eugene Weiss passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the River Falls Area Hospital. Born in River Falls, WI on February 9, 1992 to Kevin and Kari Weiss, Eric grew up with his loving family in the Hudson area where he attended grade school at St. Patrick's, and graduated from Hudson High School in June 2010. Eric went on to study at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and later became a licensed real estate agent in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He worked for his Uncle Lonnie with the Lonnie Larson Remax Results team in the Hudson office.
Eric met the love of his life, Torrie Traynor, when he was 20 years old and they were together for seven years. They traveled through life doing it their way; including all the ups and downs and in-betweens always filled with love and laughs. The couple was settling down in River Falls dreaming of their future. His priority and greatest accomplishment was being a present and loving boyfriend (husband) to Torrie, a role he cherished.
Through Eric's life journey, he will always be remembered for his love of family, outdoors and sports. His priority was his family, but his eyes would glisten with attention if you were to engage on a topic of deer hunting, baseball, football, or basketball. As a family we were whole, he brought us together and made us complete. We will forever feel his absence as we move forward without him.
He is survived by his loving partner and love of his life, Torrie Traynor of River Falls; parents, Kevin and Kari Weiss of Hudson; brother, Michael and his wife, Hali of St. Paul; sisters, Rachel of Minneapolis and Hannah of La Crosse; grandmother, Wanda Larson Traynor, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends, all who he loved so much.
With his passing, Eric joins his paternal grandparents, Gene and Evelyn Weiss; his maternal grandfather, Wayne Larson; and his beloved uncle, Bruce Weiss in Heaven.
While we know we will no longer be greeted with his infectious warm smile, perfect goofy laugh, famous bear hugs or just to hang out and enjoy a great conversation and laughter, we have had the privilege of knowing an incredibly bright and shining soul that brought forth a lifetime of happiness and joy with his big heart that always had more to give than receive. Eric will live on through his gift of organ donation, our wish for the families that benefit from his final gift is that his spirit shines through and they forever feel his love.
Mass of Christian Burial for Eric was held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hudson, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be made to the American Heart Association.
