Hudson Library Notes: Protecting yourself from identity theft
Recently the Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC) reported there were 1,579 data breaches exposing nearly 179 million records in 2017. Identity theft is the top consequence of these breaches. At the Hudson Area Public Library, we want to help patrons protect themselves from identity theft. We're offering a special program Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. A team from WESTconsin Credit Union will lead the session. Please call to register or go to our website. The session will cover trends in identity theft, best practices for prevention and what to do if you suspect you're a victim. Presenters will also discuss common fraud techniques. For more information about this or other programs, please visit www.hudsonpubliclibrary.org or call us at 715-386-3101.
