HUDSON, Wis.-- Both the Hudson Raidaires varsity and JV squads earned the right to defend their Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coaches Association (WACPC) Division 1 state titles by taking first at the Western Wisconsin Regional Tournament Saturday, March 27, in Hudson.

The regional titles come two weeks after the Raidaires swept the conference titles Saturday, March 13, pulling in dual championships in both Division 1 Jazz and Division 1 Kick.

In addition to the team tites, senior Ella Fallon was a soloist winner and Fallon and classmate Mikaela Bolopue earned soloist spots on the all-conference first team while a trio performed junior Sophi Johnson, sophomore Lauren Schmitz and sophomore Hailey Plourde earned them second team all-conference honors.

Last weekend the Raidaires varsity sealed its return trip to state by repeating as Division 1 champs in Jazz and Kick in its home gym at the Western Wisconsin Regional Tournament. The Raidaires earned their first ever state title in Kick in February, 2020, at the WACPC state competition in La Crosse.

This year’s state championships will be all virtual and will be live-streamed Saturday, April 25. Check the Hudson High School Athletics webpage in mid-April for links to the live stream.
