Gymnasts top RF, Superior

The Raider gymnastics team put together a team score of 135.1 to come out on top of a Big Rivers Conference double dual with River Falls and Superior Friday, Jan. 4, at the high school.

Ava Jensen, Paige Hillman and Caroline Erickson all posted first-place finishes as the Raiders defeated River Falls for the second time this season. The Wildcats posted a team score of 134.525 while Superior finished with 109.2.

Erickson won the floor exercise with a score of 9.375 and tied for second in the vault with 9.2 on her way to a second place total of 35.00 in the all-around. Jensen was third in the all-around with 34.125 with a first place score of 9.25 in the vault and a second place score of 8.325 on the beam. She also tied teammate Ava Wilbur for fourth in the floor exercise with 8.9.

Hillman's individual victory came on the uneven bars with a score of 9.2.

The Raiders will see the Wildcats again at the River Falls Invitational this Saturday, Jan. 12, beginning at 11 a.m. at River Falls High School.
