Softball: Raiders sweep River Falls

The Raider softball team made quick work of River Falls by sweeping the Wildcats 13-0 in five innings and 16-0 in four innings in a doubleheader in River Falls Tuesday, April 9.

Grace O’Brien went 3-for-3 and scored three times in the opener and Paige Meyer had two hits and three RBI while Maya Susa had two hits and drove in two runs.

Pitcher Sydney Gabriel allowed just one hit while striking out nine in the five-inning win.

The Raiders scored ten runs in the bottom of the fourth inning in the nightcap. Meyer was 3-for-3 with a double, walk and three RBI and Gabby Summers had two hits, including a double, while Juza was 2-for-3 with a double.

O’Brien and Gabriel teamed up in the circle to allow just two Wildcat hits while striking out four.

Next up for the Raiders is a doubleheader with Eau Claire North Thursday, April 18, beginning a 4 p.m. at Grandview Park.
