HHS grad Kochendorfer headed to nationals

Hudson High School graduate Kady Kochendorfer will compete in the triple jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in Boston this weekend after setting a new UW-Eau Claire school record at the WIAC Championships Feb. 23.

Hudson High School graduate Kady Kochendorfer’s school record triple jump for the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds has landed her a spot in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend in Boston.

Kochendorfer, a freshman at UWEC, broke the Blugold record at the WIAC Indoor Championships Feb. 23 in Whitewater with a leap of 38-feet, 2.75-inches to place second and help the Blugolds capture their first WIAC team title. She will compete in the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, hosted by the University of Massachusetts-Boston March 8-9 at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston.

Kochendorfer was a four-time state qualifier at Hudson and is the school record holder in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.52 seconds, set at the 2018 WIAA State Championships. She was also a member of the Raider’s fourth-place 4x200 meter relay team as a senior and helped Hudson take eighth place in the 4x100 meter relay while finishing seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 36-10.5.

Kochendorfer is one of eight Blugolds who qualified for this weekend’s NCAA Division III Championships.
