NCAA Division III Track and Fied Championships

Three former Hudson teammates and three River Falls graduates earned All-American honors at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships May 27-29 in Greensboro, N.C.

UW-River Falls sophomore Lexi LeFever, was the national runner-up in the women’s long jump with a leap of 18-feet, 11.75-inches while former Hudson classmate Kady Kochendorfer earned All-American honors in both the triple jump and the 4x100 meter relay. Kochendorfer was third in the triple jump with a distance of 40-04 and ran the second leg of the Blugolds’ fourth place 4x100 meter relay team.

Another former Raider-- UW-La Crosse senior Lucy Fashingbauer also competed at nationals in the 400 meter dash, placing 18th with a time of 58.1 seconds.

LeFever, Kochendorfer and Fashingbauer were all members of Hudson’s school-record setting 4x100 meter relay team in 2018.

In the men’s competition, freshman Stefan Klechefski and senior Hunter Henk both earned All-American honors as members of UW-Eau Claire’s fifth place 4x100 meter relay team, while Henk also ran the opening leg of the Blugold’s fifth place 4x400 meter relay team.

Former Wildcat Payton Flood, a freshman at UW-La Crosse, earned All-American honors with the Eagle’s fourth place 4x400 meter relay team.

The UW-La Crosse women and the UW-Eau Claire men both finished as national runner-ups in the final team standings.
