Tyler Grosz of Hudson competed in the Eau Claire Superset Level 6 USTA tennis tournament held at the John and Fay Menard YMCA Tennis Center, Sep. 22. Each match was an 8 game pro set. Grosz, seeded number one, won four matches (8-1, 8-0, 8-4, 8-2) to capture the title, defeating two conference foes from Eau Claire Memorial, who were seeded No. 2 and No. 3, in the semifinals and finals to capture the title. Raider senior Alex Johnson returns a shot in her No. 1 doubles match with partner Bailey Knight against New Richmond last Thursday at the high school courts. Johnson and Knight helped Hudson to a 4-3 victory over the Tigers before winning their only match at Monday's subsectional to advance to Wednesday's sectional tournament.
